CJ-5 Mountain Jeep

I am very proud of my CJ-5. After owning and building several other Jeeps with my two sons, Cory and Devin, we settled on this CJ-5. Among our earlier projects were a 1979 CJ-7 , 1987 Wrangler (purchased new and driven daily for 5 years) , early model 1974 CJ-5, and 1989 Jeep Wrangler. After many years of mountain trails, we decided to build a late model CJ-5. We found this one after 3 years of searching, and it is one of the cleanest and newest CJ-5's available(1982 model). This is a northern model with no tailgate and it had no body rust. When not cruising the trails, you find my Texas Taz in the garage at our home in Wichita Falls, Texas. . Cruising in the Rocky Mountains around Ouray and Durango is my favorite stomping ground, but you may find me out on a back Texas road or on a trail ride with the Ft. Worth Dallas Four Wheel Drive Club or Jeeps of North Texas. All of the work on this particular Jeep was done by either myself, my son Cory, or my Jeeping buddy, Rick Lewis. (See pictures of his CJ-7 Jeep in next section.)

A few dollars and many, many hours of labor and love are invested in this project.
